My name is Joe Letsche, and I'm the founder and servant-leader of this effort.

A few years ago, I was standing beside the Scioto River in Chillicothe watching the rising flood waters carry off the trash and debris from an abandoned homeless camp on the riverbank. I watched it happen in multiple locations over the following few years, and decided to make a (compassionate) effort to do something about it.

So, along with the help and support of my awesome wife and some amazing brothers and sisters in arms, I clean up abandoned homeless camps, scavenger caches, dump sites from the back of Johnny's pickup truck, blow-off from retail zone parking lots, and other sources of trash preemptively; before they scatter to the wind and settle into our rivers and streams and environment.

Now that I've gained some insight and experience, I can see that there are predictable patterns in this litter problem, and that we can be much more effective with our mitigation and clean-up efforts. And phenomenal success won't be as hard as it looks.

My big audacious goal for the future then is to create and implement a more effective strategic model that elevates the environmental trash game.

The fact that you're reading this now means that you are already a part of the solution, and I know a whole tribe of folks who thank you for the backup!

Much love and onward,

-joe
